Festival Transporation Ticket Seller

ArtsQuest is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide access to exceptional artistic, cultural, and educational experiences using arts and culture as key elements of economic development for urban communities. Through festivals, the Banana Factory Arts Center, and the SteelStacks campus, ArtsQuest reaches over 1.9 million people annually, with about 50% of programs free to attend.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests at bus drop-off points
• Assist with loading buses by collecting and/or checking tickets
• Provide directions and information to guests
• Sell transportation tickets using a Square point-of-sale system

Requirements

• Basic math skills
• Ability to use an electronic POS system to record sales and process credit/debit transactions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and in all weather conditions
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods
• Complete on-the-job training on a date to be determined closer to each event
• Bilingual ability is a plus

Schedule

• Sat Aug 1 & Sun Aug 2: 11:30am – 4:30pm & 4:30pm – 11:30pm
• Sat Aug 9 & Sun Aug 10: 11:30am – 4:30pm & 4:30pm – 11:30pm
• Shifts will be scheduled based on employee availability

Physical Demands

• Regularly communicate verbally and in writing with employees and clients
• Frequently sit, stand, walk, see, hear, bend, stoop, reach, and use hands to handle objects
• Read and communicate in English
• Lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation
