Fermentation Operator I

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Has the ability to physically perform and complete necessary documentation for the following tasks:
  • Weigh media and cryoprotectant for production batches.
  • Perform pelletization.
  • Clean rooms and equipment for production, excluding CIP/SIP of large equipment.
  • Ability to properly fill out room logs.
  • Understands how to navigate the HMI in order to see what status equipment is currently in.
  • Make media for INLA and fermenters.
  • Make cryoprotectant.
  • Use autoclave to sterilize equipment/media.
  • Perform all master sanitation tasks associated with department.
• Follows operating discipline policies, principles, procedures, standards, and practices to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of assigned areas
• Proactively identifies improvements and opportunities utilizing improvement processes, appropriate management of change processes, and communication tools
• Performs sanitation duties per established frequency and procedures
• Complies with plant safety rules and maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition

• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge and experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), preferred.
