Fellow - Primary Care Psychiatry

About the role

The Family Health Center of Worcester / University of Massachusetts Department of Family Medicine and Community Health Primary Care Psychiatry Fellowship is seeking qualified primary care clinicians and recently graduated psychiatric nurse practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Perform 5 sessions of direct patient care each week in the health center.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations with patients internally referred to our team.
• Provide curbside consultation services to PCPs in the practice.
• Attend 4 sessions of didactics, academic seminars, clinical case reviews, and self-directed study of educational modules.

Requirements

Applicants must have completed a primary care residency or be a recently graduated psychiatric nurse practitioner.

Qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants who have experience working with structurally-marginalized populations and those interested in improving access to quality psychiatric care.

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively, and commitment to community-based care.

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

One-to-two-year training program available (12 month, 18 month, and 24 months tracks).
