About the role
Build individualized feeding plans for each kid — oral-motor skills, swallowing safety, sensory-based feeding challenges, and mealtime success
Prepare developmentally appropriate materials and food items tailored to each child’s medical, sensory, and nutritional needs
Document sessions in our EMR with accuracy and care
Communicate clearly and compassionately with kids, families, and your interdisciplinary teammates
Show up for team huddles, case discussions, and learning moments
Create a play-based environment where kids are treated like kids first
Responsibilities
- Build individualized feeding plans for each kid — oral-motor skills, swallowing safety, sensory-based feeding challenges, and mealtime success
- Prepare developmentally appropriate materials and food items tailored to each child’s medical, sensory, and nutritional needs
- Document sessions in our EMR with accuracy and care
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with kids, families, and your interdisciplinary teammates
- Show up for team huddles, case discussions, and learning moments
- Create a play-based environment where kids are treated like kids first
Requirements
- Current Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in good standing
- VitalStim certification, or willingness to obtain immediately upon hire
- Medicaid credentialing preferred, or willingness to complete immediately upon hire
- Demonstrated experience in pediatric feeding therapy — evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment across a wide range of feeding needs
- Deep understanding of oral-motor development, dysphagia management, sensory feeding challenges, and mealtime behavioral dynamics
