About the role

There are various volunteer opportunities available across different locations, including San Marcos, Austin, Houston, Chicago, Mesa, Baltimore, New Orleans, Charlotte, Denver, and others. These opportunities involve a range of activities such as ReStore shifts, park cleanups, construction build days, food sorting and packing, and more.

Responsibilities

  • ReStore San Marcos Shift: Assist with daily operations at the ReStore in San Marcos, TX.
  • Charles Milby Park Cleanup: Participate in a cleanup event at Charles Milby Park in Houston, TX.
  • Construction Build Day: Help with building and construction activities for Habitat for Humanity in various locations.
  • Food Sorting and Packing: Sort and pack food donations at food banks in New Orleans, LA, and Charlotte, NC.
  • Beach Cleanup: Clean up trash and debris at Del Mar Beach in Del Mar, CA.
  • Habitat Restoration: Participate in habitat restoration activities at Mission Trails Regional Park in San Diego, CA.
  • Thrift Store Shift: Assist with daily operations at a thrift store in Round Rock, TX.
  • Warehouse Sort and Pack: Sort and pack donations at a warehouse in Merrillville, IN.
  • Daily Hot Lunch Service: Serve lunch at a soup kitchen in Baltimore, MD.
  • Meals with Love: Prepare and serve breakfast at a shelter in New Orleans, LA.
  • Urban Farm Volunteer Day: Assist with farm activities at an urban farm in Chicago, IL.
  • Local Serve Day: Participate in a serve day event in Gilbert, AZ.
  • Parks Rivers Trails and Trees Citywide Cleanup: Clean up parks and trails in Denver, CO.
  • Bemis Woods Stewardship Workday: Participate in stewardship activities at Bemis Woods in Western Springs, IL.
  • Saturday Morning Farm Volunteer Shift: Assist with farm activities at an urban farm in New Orleans, LA.
  • Tactical River Cleanup: Clean up the Catawba River basin in Charlotte, NC.

Requirements

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old (or accompanied by an adult if under 18) and able to commit to a 3-hour shift. Some events may have additional requirements, such as registration or orientation.
