Feed Mill Worker Labor FM01 (2nd Shift) Sedalia Feed Mill

About the role

Primary responsibility: Cleaning of Feed Mill (sweeping, shoveling, mopping, etc.). Additional responsibilities include relieving feed maker and dispatcher as needed, weighing ingredient trucks and completing required documentation, unloading warehouse delivery trailers, cleaning equipment magnets, performing inventories of feed ingredient bins, performing daily micro-ingredient bag counts for FDA records, and lubricating machinery. May be subject to rotation.

Responsibilities

• Clean feed mill (sweeping, shoveling, mopping, and general sanitation)
• Relieve feed maker and dispatcher as needed
• Weigh ingredient trucks and annotate appropriate documentation
• Unload warehouse delivery trailers
• Clean equipment magnets as required
• Perform inventories of feed ingredient bins
• Perform daily micro-ingredient bag count for FDA records
• Lubricate machinery and verify/clean magnets daily
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
• May be subject to rotation

Requirements

• Must be able to secure a forklift license within 10 days of hire
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, farmers, and other professionals
• Ability to work without supervision
• Ability to climb fixed ladders and work at heights
• Must abide by all department safety rules and operating procedures
• Must not own any poultry flock (other than Tyson's)
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as required

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 10:00 pm – 6:00 am (2nd shift). Some weekends and holidays required.

Pay

$17.25 per hour
