Responsibilities

• Performs all duties in a safe manner consistent with company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety procedures, quality control programs, and food safety programs, including wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Monitors inventories and maintains measurements in the appropriate systems.
• Maintains good housekeeping in assigned areas following all housekeeping programs.
• Conducts quality control processes and testing outlined in SOPs, logs, and maintains all results.
• Maintains and/or distributes accurate and organized records, reports, and documentation.
• Completes timely data entry ensuring accurate and up-to-date records are maintained in relevant systems or logs.
• Attends safety and training meetings.

Requirements

• Good communication, organization, time-management, and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to solve basic routine problems using established standards.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy in data entry.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Good reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to operate a forklift or other material handling equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions

• Work will be performed in a variety of conditions including climate-controlled office environments, manufacturing plants with varying conditions (cold, wet, warm areas, chemicals, etc.), and farm environments (outdoors in seasonal conditions, with live animals, and potentially dusty environments).
• Required to wear and work in personal protective equipment (PPE) while in manufacturing and farm environments.
• May work around sick or diseased animals where additional precautions may be necessary.
• The noise level in the office and farm environment is usually moderate. In the manufacturing environment, noise levels may exceed 85 DBA, requiring hearing protection.
• Showering in and out of farm locations may be required.
