Feed Batching Operator FM02-1st shift -Pine Bluff-(FEED MILL), Pine Bluff, AR

Requirements/Qualifications

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

• Lift and use hand tools to assist in unloading ingredients and perform minor maintenance duties.
• Physical Capability: Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs. with assistance; sustain physical activity throughout the day.
• Must be able to climb 157 feet when the elevator is out.

Responsibilities

• Data Accuracy: Accurately record data to ensure precision in all operations.
• Ingredient Management: Keep Micro bins full by carrying bags and unloading them into the micro system. Unload trucks as necessary.
• Equipment Operation: Operate batching, pelleting, and grinding systems. Must unchoke mills when the have a plugged situation.
• System Management: Operate computerized pelleting and batching systems to batch, pellet, and route finished feed based on run schedules.
• Quality Assurance: Obtain and run quality analysis on required incoming ingredients.
• Loading Operations: Operate loading equipment to ensure the correct feed type is loaded and sent to the correct farm.
• Task Flexibility: Organize and prioritize tasks throughout the day to adapt to changing demands.
• Inventor Management: Take feed bin inventory as needed. When the elevator is down, must be able to climb 157 feet to take inventory daily.

Environment

• Environmental Adaptability: Work in various environments, including hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold conditions with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
• Standing or walking up to 100% of the time.

Requirements

• Prior Employee Waiting Period: If you were previously employed at Tyson, there’s a 365-day waiting period before you can reapply.
• Number of Times Worked at Tyson: You can apply if you’ve worked at Tyson no more than three times.
• Failed Drug Screen: If you had a failed drug screen, you must wait 6 months before reapplying.
