About the role
The Roc Nation Summer Academy is hiring student-counselors for the summer of 2026. The Academy offers three week-long camps for students aged 15-18 focusing on Music Technology, Vocal Performance, and Sports Business.
Responsibilities
- Engage with academy students across classes, studio sessions, tech labs, and project-based work, supporting their learning and creative development while collaborating with counselors and instructors.
- Mentor students throughout all program activities, including workshops, studio time, and off-site trips, serving as a positive role model and enhancing the educational and experiential value of each activity.
- Supervise and accompany students during trips and events, ensuring safety, engagement, and meaningful connections to program learning objectives.
- Communicate promptly with the site director about any concerns related to student health, safety, well-being, or program experience, contributing to a proactive and responsive student support system.
- (For resident counselors in housing) Support residential students by conducting regular check-ins and ensuring accountability at designated times, helping maintain a safe, structured, and supportive living environment.
