Federal Work Study - Homework Help Assistant and Reading Coach (Tutor)

About the role

Assist elementary students as a reading coach and provide homework help at Bartholomew County Public Library. Work with small groups of elementary school children to assist with homework and reading.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for programs
• Lead board game activities
• Assist with Library programs
• Shelve books
• Assist library patrons with library services as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Command of English language
• Fluent with computer/tablet/phone technology
• Positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and promote library services such as online resources (i.e., Tutor.com) that are relevant to reading and learning

Requirements

• Completed FAFSA on file demonstrating financial need
• Maintain an aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status

$18/hour
