About the role

Student Worker (Federal Work Study) – Tutor position in the Nursing Department (Post Campus). Supervised by Kerry Vignola, Chairperson. Located in Life Science, Second Floor. Department: Nursing #121801. Dean/Director: Margaret Stroehlein. Employment period: September 2026 through May 2027.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Department Chairperson to provide tutoring and support to nursing students in one‑on‑one or small‑group settings.
• Receive guidance and support from the Department Chairperson.

Requirements

• Must be an LIU student enrolled in an active degree program.
• Must be a Nursing student in senior year.

Skills

• Academic strength in Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, and Fundamentals.

Pay

Minimum hourly rate: $20 per hour.

Schedule

Typically 2 days per week, approximately 7–8 hours per week; schedule arranged by the student.
