About the Team

This is an exciting opportunity to join Enterprise Payments Technology (EPT), a global payments team providing a wide range of financial platforms and services. EPT facilitates the movement of roughly $693 trillion through the processing of approximately 18.8 billion transactions a year to more than 66 million consumer/small business relationships and 2 million wealth management clients.

The Merchant Business Software Suite (MBSS) team is responsible for delivering a large-scale, multi-year program to provide a scalable and customizable point-of-sale software across a broader set of industry verticals. This initiative stems from a recent strategic acquisition to broaden the Bank’s Merchant Services capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and ensure accountability for feature delivery.
  • Apply enterprise standards for solution design, coding, and quality.
  • Ensure solutions meet product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt.
  • Guide the team on work breakdown and execution.
  • Work with the Product Owner to maintain a healthy product backlog with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Play a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentor the team.
  • Guide team members on skills and practices, including planning, estimation, peer reviews, and engineering practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience coding solutions and unit testing to deliver requirements/stories per defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, or modifying architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while maintaining principal architecture integrity.
  • Proven experience with Java and Kotlin for Android applications in production-level environments.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience mentoring other Software Engineers and coaching teams on CI/CD practices and automation tool stacks.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Point of Sale Applications or Terminal Development.
  • Preferred experience with Payment Gateways, Mobile App Development, or Android Development.
  • Merchant Services, Payments, or EMV Experience.
  • EMV Certifications.
