Responsibilities
- Performs custodial work in the care and cleaning of school buildings, ensuring safe, clean, and orderly conditions.
- Cleans school building interiors and maintains school grounds.
Requirements
Education and Experience
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of the eighth grade.
Physical Requirements
- Heavy work, requiring the exertion of 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Requires climbing, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, and repetitive motions.
- Requires vocal communication for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
- Requires hearing to perceive information at normal spoken word levels.
- Subjects the worker to inside and outside environmental conditions, vibration, hazards, atmospheric conditions, and oils.
- Possible exposure to blood borne pathogens; may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment.
