About the role
Responsible for attractively preparing, cooking, and presenting food items in a fast-paced kitchen while following set recipes and menu specifications. Customer satisfaction, safe food handling, and cleanliness are top priorities.
Responsibilities
- Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
- Prepare meals according to menu and recipes set by the Executive Chef.
- Operate char-grill, sauté, fry, and prep stations for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
- Handle and cook all food items in a wholesome manner.
- Work in a fast-paced, stressful environment with a sense of urgency.
- Maintain kitchens, storerooms, and coolers according to health codes and department policy.
- Promote internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.
- Assist with inventory, ordering, freight handling, and special cleaning projects as needed.
- Comply with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policies, and safety codes.
- Promote a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests.
- Report all concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Operate equipment, tools, and materials safely.
- Inform the supervisor of any kitchen problems.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements
- Six months of experience in a high-volume restaurant.
- Able to read and follow written recipes and procedures.
- Licensed or certified as a food handler, or complete certification within 30 days of employment.
- Able to stand and/or walk for long periods; perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers; lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.
- Effective communication skills—verbally provide instruction, respond to questions, and demonstrate strong interpersonal abilities.
- Available to work all hours, shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Exhibit a professional demeanor through appearance and maintain a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
- Pass a criminal history clearance check.
- At least 18 years of age.
