About the role

This position consists of skilled workers who perform construction and maintenance work in gas distribution, underground utilities, and gas service lines, with daily public contact. Operates equipment such as backhoes, excavators, vibratory or static plows, trenchers, or directional bore machines for installation, removal, or maintenance of underground utilities and pipe installation.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction and maintenance duties related to the natural gas industry, including physical tasks within short time frames.
• Interact professionally with customers and the public.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and adhere to all safety policies and procedures per company and utility customer standards.
• Load material or equipment for transport from the yard to the job site and secure as appropriate.
• Place, remove, or maintain underground utilities, including carrying pipe, bags of material, jackhammering, shoveling, tamping, and installing pipe, duct, or cable.
• Secure work site, equipment, and materials at the end of each shift to ensure public safety and protect assets.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to obtain a CDL.
• 3 years of prior operating experience.
• Gas construction experience.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work in a team environment.

Qualifications

Preferred: High school diploma or GED.
