Farm Technician

About the Role

We are seeking energetic and committed team members to support breeding activities in our Dawson, GA cotton breeding program. This is an entry-level, 100% onsite position working as part of a team of technicians under the supervision of full-time employees.

Responsibilities

• Field and processing tasks including planting and harvest preparation
• Data collection throughout the growing cycle
• Hand harvest of cotton
• Ginning seedcotton
• Seed processing and inventory management
• Field maintenance, including pulling and hoeing weeds

Requirements

• Ability to work in hot or cold environments
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Adherence to established safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures
• Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards in the work area
• Follow all safety regulations

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 08:00 AM–04:30 PM

Pay

This is a 05-month contract position.
