About the role
As a Farm Store Associate at EverGRO, you will take the lead in providing exceptional customer service and supporting store operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a community-focused environment with a company rooted in values of trust, quality, and growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide customers with friendly and efficient service
- Process check-out, exchange, and return transactions using point-of-sale equipment
- Maintain the professional and clean appearance of the store showroom
- Promote and set up for store events, display modules, and special promotions
- Cross-train to support warehouse responsibilities, including loading and unloading customer/vendor deliveries
- Collaborate with team members on various store responsibilities
- Fill propane cylinders
- Stock and replenish merchandise, assist with inventory responsibilities
- Proactively provide solutions to customer questions and challenges
- Monitor and maintain a welcoming and secure store environment
- Answer calls and assist customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Work safely in alignment with the cooperative’s guidelines and regulations
- Work both indoors and outdoors to assist with customer needs, including deliveries and pick-ups
Schedule
- Part-time position averaging 15-20+ hours per week, depending on store needs
- Work schedule varies, including Monday-Saturday, with potential rotation between opening/closing and weekend shifts

Requirements
- No minimum education requirement or years of professional experience
- Preferred: six months of experience in a retail environment providing customer service and operating point-of-sale equipment
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Willingness and ability to work during operating hours, including Saturdays if/when needed
- Forklift certification or willingness and ability to obtain certification through on-the-job training
- Able and willing to learn to fill propane tanks
- Passion and enthusiasm for working with cooperative customers to help improve and overcome challenges
- Ability to focus and work safely when operating equipment and assisting customers
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong relationship-building and problem-solving abilities
- Desire to learn, grow, and work as a cross-functional team member with other divisions within EverGRO
