Farm Hand Assistant

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Notifies supervisor of problems/difficulties in performing job duties.
• Cleaning out pens/paddocks and facilities.
• Feeding and caring for livestock (goats, sheep, pig, horses, chickens, ducks, etc.) and small animals.
• Moving and refilling feed, hay, and other supplies and materials.
• Aiding with general property maintenance — pruning plants, snow removal, moving compost, etc.
• Tending gardens on property — planting, weeding, harvesting, spreading mulch, watering, etc.
• Performs additional related duties as requested by supervisor.

Physical Demands

• Ability to perform medium to heavy manual labor, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Understanding instructions given by supervisor.
• Flexible; able to accept changes in job duties.
