FARM ASSISTANT

About the role

Toward Independent Living and Learning, Inc (TILL) is a not-for-profit human service agency established in 1980 with a mission to create community-based residential, day, vocational, clinical and support services to help people reach their full potential and attain an optimal quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Perform the physical labor of field preparation, planting, cultivating, weeding, mulching, etc.
• Perform general farm upkeep.
• Perform basic tool and equipment maintenance.
• Follow farm safety, food safety, farm sanitation, and emergency procedures.
• Lead and educate visiting groups about farming practices.

Qualifications

• Ability to do manual labor and work outdoors.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as with a team.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work weekends as needed.
• Driver’s license and reliable vehicle required to fulfill job duties.

Pay

This position is: hourly, $20/hr +

Schedule

As needed, including weekends.
