About the role

The Farm-Forest Manager supports the Reynold Homestead FRRC in development, installation and completion of projects and maintenance of facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of forest management, forest biology, plant ID (especially trees), and ecosystem relationships.
  • Ability to read and understand complex instructions relating to research; ability to pay attention to detail and keep accurate records; ability to set priorities; work independently and follow schedules.
  • Exhibit mechanical, electrical and plumbing knowledge and ability to diagnose and repair equipment failures; knowledge of farm machinery and skill with power tools.
  • Able to be a team player; previous forestry or related research experience preferred.
