Responsibilities
- Represent the company within a defined sales territory, promoting and selling new and used farm equipment to existing and potential customers.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet sales targets and expand the customer base.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, understand their needs, and recommend appropriate equipment and solutions.
- Offer ongoing customer support and technical assistance, including answering technical questions and addressing concerns.
- Conduct effective product demonstrations and clinics to showcase equipment functionality and benefits.
- Accurately complete sales paperwork, prepare contracts, and ensure timely order processing.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Manage the inventory of new and used equipment and parts, ensuring efficient stock management.
- Participate in community activities and trade shows to represent the company and build brand awareness.
- Cook with billing or accounting staff to ensure accurate invoicing.
Qualifications
- Proven sales experience, with a focus on agricultural equipment or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of farm equipment, current technology trends, and farming practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a defined sales territory effectively.
- Strong customer-service focus and the ability to provide exceptional support.
- Ability to negotiate prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales agreements.
- Knowledge of financing options and tools to assist customers with equipment purchases.
- Clean driving record
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software, and general computer use.
Education
A Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness, Agriculture, or a related field is preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
