Farm Clean Out Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Supervisory person to lead as the Farm Clean-Out Lead. This position will oversee the cleaning of depleted farms, ensure proper chemicals are used for sanitation, operate heavy machinery, and manage daily responsibilities for crew members.

Responsibilities

• Drive crews of employees to farms to start job clean up
• Operate machinery (certifications will be administered)
• Manage time for crew and job to ensure work is completed correctly
• Ensure proper use of chemicals to clean and sanitize all machinery and assigned areas
• Assemble and disassemble machinery at the beginning and end of cleanup shifts
• Assist in setup before production starts (lower nest boxes, feeders, drinker lines, etc.)
• Delegate tasks to crew members
• File reports for managers to pull farm clean-out depletion data
• Inventory vehicles, machinery, and chemicals
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor, area leader, and Sanitation Manager
• Work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers
• Complete all tasks assigned by management
• Work in other departments as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to pass a physical to receive a Health Card
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours
• Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character
• Poultry experience preferred but not required
• Basic understanding of machinery tear-down and setup
• Basic chemical understanding (a strong plus)
• Monitoring clean-up (parts) experience
• 2 years of clean-out crew experience
