About the role
The Farley-Manning Family Guidance Service Clinician works with children aged 2-11 and their families, providing evaluation and treatment. The position offers extensive mentorship and clinical support within a collegial and team-based environment. The clinic values clinical learning and growth, offering weekly clinical supervision/consultation, seminars, and opportunities to attend additional training.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat children and their families within the Lucy Daniels Center's integrated psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approach.
- Work in therapeutic classrooms for preschool through Grade 5 children at the Lucy Daniels School.
- Provide therapy for children and their parents through the Farley-Manning Family Guidance Service.
- Conduct assessments and observations for young children in the community through Lucy’s Link.
- Collaborate with the school team and other developmental services to provide holistic care.
- Participate in weekly clinical supervision/consultation, seminars, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a mental health specialty.
- Licensed (or approaching licensure) to practice in North Carolina or another state.
- At least one year of experience working with young children.
- A health registry check and criminal record check with fingerprinting.
