FamilySearch Internal Communications Intern
Job Description
This full-time internship is part of the Talent and Culture Team in the Family History Department (FHD) of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. You will play a key role in delivering internal communications and uplifting media content that strengthens department culture and employee engagement. We are looking for a positive, energetic, and creative individual with experience in communication, data analysis, and video editing. Speaking a second language is helpful but not required.
Operational Expectations
- Edit and publish 1-2 short videos, analyze communication data and present findings
- Write and send department-wide emails
- Organize and enhance intranet content
- Coordinate with employees for video participation
- Participate in weekly team meetings
- Dedicate time to personal family history and professional development
Schedule and Internship Details
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
- Work hours: Between 7am-5pm, schedule set with manager
- Location: At least 4 days onsite in Lehi, occasional days in SLC
- Duration: 6 months, with potential to extend up to 1 year
Eligibility
- Must be enrolled in an educational institution or within one year of graduation
- Requires signing a “Paid Internship Engagement Letter”
Responsibilities
- Managing and improving the department intranet site
- Collecting and analyzing data from communications and media
- Editing short daily videos (2-3 minutes) to inspire and inform employees
- Occasionally filming video content
- Writing and sending engaging email communications
- Supporting team and department events such as RootsTech
- Building and sending surveys to gather feedback
- Contributing innovative ideas to strengthen department culture

Qualification of Dignity
- Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
