About the role

Foster parents play an extremely crucial part in supporting children in foster care by providing love, support and stability to their foster children.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and nurturing home environment for foster children
• Attend all scheduled meetings with caseworkers and other professionals involved in the child's case
• Ensure the child's basic needs are met including food, clothing, and healthcare
• Support the child's emotional and psychological well-being
• Participate in regular visits with birth parents if appropriate

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Pass a background check and fingerprinting
• Have a stable living situation
• Be able to provide a safe and loving home environment
• Commit to a minimum of one year commitment

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in foster care is preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to handle stress and maintain composure under pressure
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
