Family Therapist - LCSW/LMFT - Behavioral Health
About the role
Evaluates and treats patients with mental health and substance abuse disorders. Evaluates patients using appropriate DSM V criteria. Treats patients using a variety of brief psychotherapy techniques where indicated, including crisis intervention, cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, family, marital, and supportive approaches. This position works primarily in the primary care clinic as a regular team member, providing brief assessment, intervention, and onsite consultation to the primary care team regarding psychiatric/psychosocial concerns and health behavior change. The Behavioral Health Specialist works with individuals, groups, and families, providing evidence-based behavioral interventions.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with mental health and substance abuse disorders using DSM V criteria.
- Provide brief psychotherapy using techniques such as crisis intervention, cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, family, marital, and supportive approaches.
- Work in a primary care clinic as part of a regular team, offering brief assessment and intervention.
- Consult onsite with the primary care team regarding psychiatric/psychosocial concerns and health behavior change.
- Work with individuals, groups, and families to provide evidence-based behavioral interventions.
Requirements
- Maintain Clinical Education requirements to maintain licensure.
- Upon hire: California Marriage and Family Therapist License or
- Upon hire: California Clinical Social Worker License or
- Upon hire: California Professional Counselor License.
Qualifications
- Preferred: 2 years of clinical experience in the provision of behavioral health services to a wide range of patients.
- Preferred: Experience in integrated behavioral health services settings.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $41.81 - $64.91 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
Schedule
Full time, multiple shifts available.
