FAMILY THERAPIST

About the role

As a Family Therapist, you will provide therapeutic services to clients and their families in a fee-for-service capacity.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients and their families on a regular bi-weekly basis
• Run/co-facilitate therapeutic groups
• Comply with both internal and external requirements for documentation and associated timelines
• Participate in weekly meetings with the clinical team for case conceptualization
• Assist in preparation of treatment plans, court reports, and other clinical documentation
• Complete quarterly family assessments
• Assist with victim/sibling reunification, when warranted
• Assess the status of family involvement and discuss strategies for improvement with supervisors
• Aid in the assessment of suitability of family members for discharge consideration
• Maintain regular contact with juvenile probation officers and/or caseworkers for case coordination
• Clinically supervise residents while following program policies and assuring compliance with BARJ principles and best practices
• Remain on call after hours for a week at a time, several times a year

Requirements

• Master's Degree in a therapeutic field (required)
• License for LPC, LCSW, MFT, or supervision toward licensure (preferred)
• Specific training and/or experience with sexual offending populations and/or adolescents (preferred)
• Valid driver's license (required)
