About the role
Provides clerical, administrative, and oversight of statistical tracking for the adoptions program.
Responsibilities
- Assists Dependency Case Managers in the provision of services to families.
- Facilitates and observes parent/sibling visitations.
- Arranges and/or provides transportation of children ages birth to 18 years to parent visits, doctor appointments, counseling, court, placement changes, etc.
- Monitors parents and children during supervised visits.
- Completes summaries of each supervised activity and documents them in the Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN) database.
- Provides appropriate modeling techniques, education, and other supportive services delineated in the case plan under the direction of the Case Manager.
- Provides/completes documentation of observations during all client activities when interacting with the client or client’s family.
- Supervises children in the absence of the Case Manager or caregiver in accordance with agency procedures.
- Assists the Case Manager with obtaining client records including birth and death certificates as well as client health and education records.
- Participates in client staffings and all staff meetings.
- Participates in court hearings, as needed.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of working with children and families.
- Previous child welfare experience and college degree preferred.
