About the Role

We are hiring a part-time Family Support Worker to join our Midway Early Learning Team. This role focuses on supporting families and children through recruitment, case management, and coordination of services.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and enroll children and families into the program, and establish and maintain accurate documentation of age and income eligibility for children and pregnant women.
• Collaborate with program staff, site partners, and supervisors to coordinate services relating to child and family well-being, including Disabilities, Health, Mental Health, Nutrition, and Family Partnerships.
• Work with families and program staff to complete an accurate family assessment annually and provide intervention, referrals, and assistance for identified interests, needs, and circumstances.
• Provide case management services, including assistance and referrals for emergency services, health/nutrition/dental, disability, and child abuse and neglect, while following up to ensure services are received.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in family services, psychology, sociology, social work, human services, counseling, or a related field.
• Gateways to Opportunity Family Specialist Level 5 credential.
• Satisfactorily pass all screenings and criminal background checks.
• Ability to drive for work in a personally owned vehicle.

Physical Demands

• Sitting and standing for sustained periods of time.
• Frequent talking, hearing, and use of hands and fingers to handle or operate objects/controls.
• Occasional standing, bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Close visual acuity for activities such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.

Pay

The average starting salary for this position ranges from $27.00 to $29.00 hourly, depending on skill and experience level.
