Family Support Specialist
About the role
The Family Support Specialist plays a crucial role in providing best practice, quality clinical services to clients. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a human services discipline or equivalent experience, with a preference for one year of experience working with children.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical services and ensure all documentation meets payer, state, and organizational standards.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs and input from the treatment team and Clinical Supervisor.
- Offer individual, group, and family therapy sessions, focusing on skill-building as outlined in the treatment plan.
- Follow Health Connect America-approved therapeutic interventions as detailed in the treatment plan.
- Attend and contribute to weekly Treatment Team meetings to coordinate care and address client needs.
- Recruit new referrals to maintain a full caseload and provide 24/7 on-call support for clients as needed.
- Ensure compliance with state regulatory bodies and COA standards.
- Participate in and complete all assigned training and professional development activities.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in a human services discipline such as Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, or Criminal Justice, or equivalent experience.
- One year of experience working with children, including internships or volunteer experiences, is preferred.
- Three years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement.

- Proficiency in using technology to manage client records and communications.
