Family Support Specialist

About the role

The Family Support Specialist plays a crucial role in providing best practice, quality clinical services to clients. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a human services discipline or equivalent experience, with a preference for 1 year of experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services and ensure all documentation meets payer, state, COA, and HCA standards.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on input from the treatment team and the Clinical Supervisor.
• Offer individual, group, and family therapeutic interventions and skill-building activities as outlined in the Treatment Plan.
• Complete client documentation within established timelines.
• Attend and actively participate in weekly Treatment Team meetings.
• Link clients and families with specific services and resources as identified in the treatment plan.
• Actively recruit new referrals to maintain a full caseload.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support for clients as required by the program.
• Ensure compliance with all state regulatory bodies and COA standards.
• Participate in and complete all assigned training and professional development activities, including E-Learning courses.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a human services discipline such as Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, or Criminal Justice, or equivalent experience.
• One year of experience working with children, including internships or volunteer experiences, is preferred.
• Three years of relevant experience is acceptable in lieu of the degree requirement.
