Family Service Counselor

Estimated first-year earnings range: $65,000-$75,000 with uncapped commission. Training pay of $18.00 per hour for 6 weeks.

About the Role

This position sells pre-need and at-need funeral services and inventory as well as cemetery services, property, and merchandise. The Sales Counselor assists families with funeral selections and attends services. Leads are generated through a combination of walk-ins, inbound calls, and proactive lead generation and prospecting.

Responsibilities

• Sell pre-need and at-need funeral services, inventory, cemetery services, property, and merchandise
• Assist families with funeral selections and attend services
• Generate leads through walk-ins, inbound calls, and proactive prospecting
• Conduct offsite appointments, including client meetings and community events
• Maintain availability to work some holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in Business, Marketing, and/or Sales preferred
• 1 year of sales experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided)
• Proficiency in MS Office (Microsoft Excel and Outlook)
• Experience working in a CRM (lead management system preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information

Pay
