About the Location
Princeton is a small town rich in history and beauty, situated at the foothills of the Cascade Mountains where the Tulameen and Similkameen Rivers meet. It serves as the southern gateway to British Columbia’s Interior, offering abundant recreational activities such as hiking and cycling in nearby provincial parks, as well as community events, tournaments, and fairs. The town features a vibrant retail and services sector, including fine restaurants and family-run shops with local produce. Princeton’s heritage is visible in its historic buildings and museums.
About the Facility
This is a primary care clinic offering a wide range of services for acute and chronic care. The clinic uses Med Access EMR, has a full complement of administrative support staff, and is conveniently attached to the Princeton General Hospital. Services include regular office visits, rapid access appointments, chronic disease management, addictions care, and minor procedures.
Responsibilities
- General practice, including long-term care, inpatients, and emergency care
- Clinic work and minor procedures
- On-call duties: 1:4 rotation and 1 weekend out of every 4 to cover ER, inpatients, and long-term care
- Support for Interior Health (IH) services, including rural ER, long-term care (LTC), opioid agonist therapy (OAT), maternity, etc., as part of community practice
- Return of Service (ROS) commitment: A portion of your FTE will support Primary Care Network (PCN) and/or IH facilities and services (details to be confirmed with your Division and/or IH recruiter)
Pay
Compensation Type: Fee-for-Service
Estimated Remuneration: $350,000 - $800,000
Physician Overhead: Approximately $5,000
May be eligible for additional remuneration under the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including:
- Retention Premium: 15.23%
- Retention Flat Fee: $23,594
- Relocation Funding: $9,000 - $15,000
- Recruitment Incentive: $20,000
