About the Role
This position offers comprehensive longitudinal primary health care medical services to serve the needs of the local community within the White Rock-South Surrey Primary Care Network (PCN). The clinic provides efficient support staff and nurses working alongside physicians, utilizing EMRs. Physicians have the flexibility to choose their work schedule, including a mix of in-clinic and virtual care.
Facility and Location
The clinic is located in South Surrey, specifically in the Morgan Creek and Rosemary Heights areas. It features:
- Two patient rooms per physician, a shared office, and a lunch room
- Free parking
- On-site amenities including a coffee shop and LifeLabs
- Proximity to other professional and service providers
The team is strong and supportive, with minimal personnel changes in recent years. The clinic is part of a thriving seaside community with highly rated schools, recreational activities (cycling, forest trails, water sports), and is five minutes from the US border and 45 minutes from downtown Vancouver.
About the Primary Care Network (PCN)
White Rock-South Surrey PCN is in its fifth year and was one of the first in British Columbia. The PCN includes:
- Neighborhood Nurses and Social Workers
- Free (no cost) counselling services
- A Pharmacist
- Approximately 27 additional clinicians, including nurses, social workers, patient educators, mental health clinicians, and expanded counselling services
The PCN’s vision is to increase patient wellness through a collaborative and coordinated system of care, ensuring patients access the right services in the right place. All family physician clinics in White Rock-South Surrey are involved in this network.
Compensation
Compensation is structured as a combination model with the following details:
- Physician overhead varies
- Billing split is negotiable (e.g., 80/20)
- Benefits and incentives are open to provisional licensees
