About the role

Popeyes Community Health Center is seeking a Family Physician to join a dynamic team of clinicians including Internists, Pediatricians, ObGyns, Family Physicians, and Behavioral Health Counselors. This position offers the opportunity to build a diverse patient panel, advance your career, and contribute to the healthcare needs of a busy neighborhood in Providence.

Responsibilities

• Develop a panel of patients across all age groups
• Grow your professional practice and career
• Serve the healthcare needs of a vibrant community in Providence
• Work weekdays only, full-time is 4 days in clinic; one day remote administrative time
• Collaborate with in-house specialists such as behavioral health, optometry, dentistry, asthma/allergy, rheumatology, and podiatry
• Lead a team consisting of a dedicated Medical Assistant and support staff
• Benefit from on-site lab, x-ray, and support resources

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine MD or DO with experience in community health and patient-centered care
• Licensed/eligible in Rhode Island
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Skills

• Experience and interest in community health and patient-centered care
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Multi-lingual and multi-cultural skills are highly valued but not required
