Family Permanency Specialist

About the role

The role involves providing support to families in need of permanency solutions, including adoption and guardianship.

Responsibilities

  • Assist families in navigating the adoption process
  • Provide counseling and support to families seeking permanency
  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop comprehensive family plans
  • Document progress and outcomes for each case

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in social services or related field
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Skills

  • Knowledge of child welfare laws and regulations
  • Experience with case management software
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues
