About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the university's IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation of all systems and providing technical support to faculty and students.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the university’s IT systems, including servers, networks, and software applications.
• Provide technical support to faculty and students, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of technology across campus.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in IT to enhance the university’s technological capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in IT support or management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with network administration and security protocols.
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.

Skills

• Technical proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java.
• Experience with database management systems like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Ability to perform system administration tasks including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
