Role Overview
This position is for a Family Medicine Core Residency Faculty member responsible for clinical teaching, scholarly activities, and residency program development.
Responsibilities
- Teach in outpatient clinics and urgent care with residents and medical students
- Maintain a personal continuity patient panel
- Supervise inpatient newborn nursery rounds on a rotating basis
- Participate in didactic sessions and academic activities to support resident growth
- Provide remote supervision during after-hours clinic calls
- Contribute to resident assessment through evaluations
- Engage in scholarly projects, research, and quality improvement initiatives
- Supervise residents on the mobile health unit
- Participate in residency committees overseeing curriculum and program quality
Qualifications & Skills
- MD/DO with successful completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency
- Unrestricted medical license in California
- Experience in outpatient care for diverse patient populations and inpatient management of newborns and adults
- Board certification in Family Medicine (ABFM)
- Eligibility for inpatient privileges in newborn and adult inpatient medicine
- Certification in ACLS and NRP
