This Role Involves
Providing primary care services in a correctional facility setting, delivering clinic-based primary care to adult patients.
Responsibilities
- Patient evaluations
- Managing chronic conditions
- Treating acute illnesses
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, with no call required
- Typically four 10-hour shifts
- Expected caseload: approximately 18–20 patients per day
Qualifications
- Virginia PA license
- DEA registration
- Prescriptive authority
- Board certification is negotiable
Support Staff
RNs and LPNs, with clinical workflows structured to meet primary and chronic care needs.
Key Skills and Attributes
- Proficiency in patient evaluations, chronic disease management, and acute care
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently within structured protocols
