Family Medicine Physician Assistant
About the role
Join a family medicine clinic with more than 60 years of history serving the Fairbanks community. The clinic is part of a large multidisciplinary health system and provides care to patients across the full lifespan, from newborns to geriatrics. Our providers manage a broad range of acute concerns as well as ongoing chronic conditions. Practicing at our clinic within a rural health system allows providers to maintain a broad scope of practice and take a more active role in managing complex patient care.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with family medicine physicians to manage patient care.
- Manage a broad range of acute concerns as well as ongoing chronic conditions.
- Maintain a broad scope of practice and take a more active role in managing complex patient care.
- Participate in a care team model, partnering with physicians to support the needs of the community.
Requirements
- Must be approved to practice by the State Joint Board on the Regulation of Physician's Assistants.
- NCCPA certification required.
- Exhibits an exemplary professional demeanor and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Demonstrates proficiency in computer applications and database management.
- Must have sufficient experience, confidence, and judgment to function with little outside direction.
- Absorbs and maintains CME currency as required to maintain NCCPA certification.
- Requires personal DEA license.
Qualifications
Advanced degree preferred. Experience in clinical setting including supervision is preferred. ACLS, PALS, ATLS.
Skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in computer applications and database management.

Pay
Starting at a base of $147,112, compensation can be further adjusted based on experience. Additional opportunity to increase earnings through productivity. $40k sign-on bonus.
Schedule
M-F 40 hours per week. 7 weeks ATO and 2 weeks for CME.
