Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner - Locum Tenens

Overview: This role is for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide primary care services in a federally qualified health center environment. Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive outpatient care, including routine primary care visits, gender-affirming care, substance use disorder treatment, mental health support, physicals, and sick visits. Collaborate with a team of physicians, behavioral health specialists, and utilize the EPIC EMR system. Manage a patient caseload of 10-15 per day across all ages, with prescriptive authority, focusing on quality and consistent care. Qualifications & Skills: Candidates must have an active Oregon license, Oregon DEA, and BLS or ACLS certification. A minimum of 2 years primary care experience, with experience preferred in gender-affirming care and substance use disorder treatment. Experience in urgent care is not required. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential. Work Environment: Work within a structured outpatient clinic, Monday through Friday, with flexible shifts up to four 10-hour days. No call required. The setting emphasizes teamwork and patient-centered care, serving diverse community needs.
