About the Role

A licensed Nurse Practitioner (DNP) is needed to provide primary care services in a correctional facility setting. The position involves managing adult patients, conducting evaluations, treating acute illnesses, and managing chronic conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to adult patients in a secure environment
• Manage a caseload of approximately 18-20 patients daily
• Perform patient evaluations, document accurately, and treat acute and chronic conditions
• Collaborate with RNs and LPNs in a team-based setting
• Deliver primary care in a secure, correctional environment, manage diverse patient needs, and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• No call coverage is required

Qualifications & Skills

• Board certification required
• Active state license, DEA registration, and prescriptive authority
• Experience in primary care and correctional healthcare preferred
• Strong documentation and patient management skills
• Emphasis on clinical expertise, credentialing readiness, and effective teamwork

Schedule

Work Monday through Friday, potentially four 10-hour shifts.
