About the role
Provide primary care in a correctional facility setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive primary care services to adult patients.
- Conduct patient evaluations, manage chronic conditions, and treat acute illnesses.
- Maintain accurate documentation of clinical encounters.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 18-20 patients daily.
- Work alongside RNs and LPNs in a secure, correctional environment.
Requirements
- Virginia license and DEA registration.
- Board certification in nursing practice.
- Prescriptive authority.
- Ability to work independently within correctional healthcare protocols.
Schedule
Daytime shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no call duties.
