Family Medicine Core Faculty — Independent Hospital, NC | Autonomy & Teaching Role
Position Highlights
- Teaching/Preceptorship: ~70%
- Clinical Practice: ~30% outpatient continuity clinic
- Hospital/back-up rotation: 1-2 weeks every 6-8 weeks (Family Medicine inpatient service, including peds/newborn)
- Daily outpatient volume: 20-25 patients

Candidate Qualifications
- BC/BE Family Medicine (MD or DO)
- Experience in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Comfortable with joint injections, dermatologic procedures, OMT
- Interest in medical education and mentoring residents
- Obstetrics experience welcomed but not required
- Passion for rural and community-based medicine

About the Organization
Sampson Regional Medical Center has served the region since 1950 and remains one of the few independent, community-based hospitals in North Carolina. The 146-bed system offers acute care, outpatient surgery, emergency and critical care, women's health, and specialty services, while serving as a training site for medical students, interns, and residents.
