Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of your patients and their families.
- Assume clinical responsibility for tasks performed within the APP’s scope of practice, including but not limited to: taking patients' history, performing physical examinations, ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, establishing diagnosis and providing care and management for common illnesses and disease prevention in the pediatric and adult patient.
- Makes appropriate referrals to specialists and community agencies.
- Participates in quality assurance and quality improvement programs.
- Participate in teaching students (Physician Assistant Studies, Nurse Practitioner students, Medical Students as applicable) when caring for patients.
- Participate in research, scholarly activity, and clinical innovation within scope of practice.
- Works within a multidisciplinary team to develop plans for the patient and their family.
Required Job Requirements
- Active or eligible license in the state of AZ as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Current national board certification (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA).
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in Family Medicine or Primary Care.
- Preferred proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems; experience with Cerner is a plus.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
