Family Lawyer

Our law firm is seeking a family attorney who can assist our clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody, child abuse, and domestic violence. Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases.
• Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process.
• Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date.
• Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed.
• Assist clients by understanding their needs, analyzing the situation, strategizing, and deciding on a proper course of action.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge base of representing plaintiffs and defendants in family law matters.
• Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1–2 years.
• Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required.
• Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association).
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations.

Pay

Compensation: $95,000
