Family Law Attorney (Remote)

Remote contract role providing legal counsel and representation in domestic-relations matters such as divorce, child custody, spousal support, and property division.

Responsibilities

• Draft, file, and argue motions related to family-law disputes, including temporary orders and final judgments.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex family-law issues.
• Advise clients on rights, obligations, and legal strategies in divorce and custody cases.
• Ensure compliance with all procedural rules and deadlines in family-law litigation.

Requirements

• Licensed attorney in good standing with a state bar association.
• Minimum 3 years of experience practicing family law, including litigation experience.
• Strong writing skills for drafting pleadings, briefs, and legal correspondence.
• Ability to analyze case law and statutes to develop legal strategies.
• Proficiency in case-management software and legal-research tools.

Pay

$140 – $400/hour
