Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney who can take ownership of a caseload and handle matters from start to finish.

Job Description

- Manage a caseload of family law and matrimonial matters from intake through resolution

- Handle divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, and post judgment matters

- Draft pleadings, motions, certifications, discovery, settlement agreements, and related legal documents

- Appear in court for conferences, motions, hearings, and other family law proceedings

- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel

- Conduct legal research and develop case strategy based on the facts and client objectives

- Work closely with the firm owner and senior attorneys as needed while maintaining independence on assigned files

Qualifications

  • 2 to 10+ years of family law experience
  • Active New Jersey Bar admission in good standing
  • Ability to independently manage files and move cases forward with limited oversight
  • Strong drafting, litigation, negotiation, and client communication skills
  • Experience handling divorce, custody, support, and equitable distribution matters
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, client focused family law environment
  • No book of business required
  • Open to full time in office, hybrid, or fully remote candidates depending on experience and fit
