About the role
The law group is expanding and seeks a skilled family attorney to handle various aspects of family law. Responsibilities include assisting clients with matters such as prenuptial agreements, divorce proceedings, spousal support, and child support. The ideal candidate should have experience dealing with sensitive issues like child abuse, custody disputes, and domestic violence, maintaining professionalism and advocating effectively under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Navigate and draft prenuptial agreements
- Attend and present in court hearings for divorce, spousal support, and child support
- Represent clients in cases involving child abuse, custody disputes, and domestic violence
- Maintain composure and negotiate effectively in emotionally charged situations
Requirements
The successful candidate must have a strong background in family law, including experience with complex cases involving children and domestic issues. A law degree from an accredited institution, bar membership, and at least 3 years of relevant experience are required. Excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.
Qualifications
A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school, active bar membership, and at least 3 years of experience in family law are mandatory qualifications. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to client-centered advocacy and a passion for helping families through challenging times.
