Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication and providing case updates.
- Manage an active caseload under the guidance and supervision of senior attorneys.
- Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Conduct all phases of discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery, reviewing document productions, and preparing discovery motions.
- Take and defend depositions, including preparing clients and witnesses.
- Appear at court hearings, case management conferences, and other proceedings.
- Assist with trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit organization, motion practice, and trial strategy.
- Participate in bench and jury trials as experience and case needs allow.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on substantive and procedural issues.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to develop case strategies and achieve successful client outcomes.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license and good standing with the applicable state bar.
- 2-5 years of litigation experience; family law experience is preferred.
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
